I produced and animated this motion graphic to accompany many stories that were released surrounding the 2010 U.S. Census for USA Today. It examines how reapportionment works in the U.S. House of Representatives. The number of seats assigned to each state can vary depending on the outcome of census reports. I co-wrote the narration with, then Interactives Director, Josh Hatch. I worked with a contracted voice over professional to define the right tone for the piece. I was responsible for storyboarding, illustration and animation. I worked with a producer to ensure the audio track, music and sound effects added depth and character to the final product.
