Magazine center spread

I teamed up with Bloomberg Government analysts and editors to create three individual center spread layouts for Bloomberg News’s presidential political conventions publication known as the Bloomberg Insider. It was a magazine that was published and distributed daily at both the 2012 Republican and Democratic national conventions. This one examined the real story behind the deficit.

I collaborated closely with the author and a battery of editors to ensure the layout and graphic presentation illustrated the complex message. In my mind it was important that the layout be centered around the same step-by-step process the author used to explain it to me. Essentially the conversation with the author became the graphics that are included in the two-page spread.
